Cyber Truths

The internet gives you the opportunity to be really honest, with no repercussions. You can do and say whatever you feel, and it doesn't matter if people disagree, because their opinions can't effect your life. What i wonder is, why then do people use the internet to lie? When you have the chance to be yourself, be whoever you've always wanted to be, why do people think it is better to lie to strangers than it is to tell them the truth?

The "Small" One

Heads turned, some smiling at the sight, others scoffing.
The young girl bounced down the hall, humming to herself, smiling at passersby.

'No teenager should be that happy', thought the dark haired girl in the corner.
A boy in a red hoody laughed to himself at the sight of the bubbly teen,
and a teacher rolled his eyes, hobbling into class,
arms laden with papers and a dripping coffee cup.

The girl noticed none of this as she merrily skipped along to meet her friends.
Sugar and spice, and everything nice;
rainbows and sunshine, and not a sweeter girl you'll find.

A day in the life of Kleine G;
if only everyone could see the world through her eyes.

Recognize

Death is an everyday part of life.
Only when you choose to acknowledge it does the moment become significant.

A Fake Fairy Tale

Why do you let children dream of fairy tales when you know one day their worlds of imagination will come crashing down on them? You know that the world they saw through crafted lences will be destroyed by the truths of life. And you encourage it. But inevitabely, in time, their innocence will dwindle, and their carefree souls will exist no more.
You do it because you treasure their innocence.
Because the same cruel fate was dealt to you.
And because, you hope that they will come out on top, unscathed,
despite the fact that no one ever does.

Honesty in Anger

It is said that when mad, people say things they don't mean.
But, I don't believe that.
I think being mad gives people a freedom to say what the really mean. Only when reality slaps them in the face afterwards do people realize the damage they have done, and apologize.
But that's not honesty. It's regret.

Deal With It

When someone hands you their problems you are suppose to fix it,
not point out that, yes, it is a problem...

Sunlight

It's just like a child to notice the small things in life, when adults are too trapped in their own heads trying to look at the bigger pictures. When you notice the warmth of the sunlight touching your cold skin, why does it seem so out of place?

Lost

If you read enough books, will you find yourself hidden in the pages of someone else's imagination?

Thoughts...

Happiness is looking past imperfections.
Understanding doesn’t mean you have to understand.
Caring doesn’t always mean doing what’s best.
Having trust in people is accepting the fact that everyone lies.
True love is more painful than it is pleasurable.
Friendship is the only burden people desire.
Courage is knowing you’ll fail and doing it anyway.
Comprehension is understanding that you’ll never understand…

Even Scott Perry

I saw a documentary on the death of a boy named Even Scott Perry. I apologize to his family if my writing seems harsh, but I was inspired by his story, and this is just how i feel.

The pews are filled with black. Lines of broken hearts, silent sobs. In the front of the church stands a priest in white, and red. He reads from a book, words of comfort. A boy has died. His family cries. It was a suicide. His funeral, in a Catholic church…such hypocrisy. How can that priest say he is in a better place? He is at peace. He is with the lord and savior. Words of comfort for his family. Lies to himself. In a Catholic church a funeral for a boy who committed suicide. He is in hell that boy, according to this priest, contradicting what he says. According to his Bible, “God’s holy word” condemns that boy for his pain. The pews are filled with black. Lines of broken hearts, and silent sobs. In the air: grief and hypocrisy. As in life, death is not fair.

Change

You know what I was thinking about the other day? I was thinking about change. Our President’s slogan. It is the one thing people are always running from, or looking for. Some say that people never change, but that’s only reflected in the bad that people see in each other. Those who have lived life long enough know that of course people change. Everything changes. Be it good or bad, you can wake up in the morning and count on nothing being as it was the day before. We live in a perpetual Wonderland, and each one of us the Alice of our world. The change we see, the change in us and around us, is inevitable. No matter how hard you try, in one way or another, you and everyone you love will be hurt. You will feel pain you never knew existed. You will struggle for things that should come easily. And, more often than not, you’ll find that hope, something born in all people, is constantly destined for disappointment. But, it’s just change. You can’t stop it, so accept it.
